During the first Gulf War, when Saddam Hussein had set all the oil wells in Kuwait on fire, Shlomo Ben Shlomo was brought in to extinguish the blazes. The Americans had taken three weeks to extinguish one fire, but then Ben Shlomo was able to do the same thing in one minute, with an invention of his own. He was responsible for putting out 30% of the well fires. He holds a methods and device patent for his fire extinguishing invention in America, England and Israel.
